North Wales and North Powys Recovery Network
We write to welcome you on your Recovery Journey and introduce the model for REAL Steps – Camau Go Iawn. This is based on the main principle of Recovery – hope, strengths and capabilities.
The concept has been developed collectively with people for North Wales and North Powys Recovery Network and its wider communities and incorporates all comments which have been considered in the formulation of this report.
The emphasis is on learning opportunities within each local area to complement existing services and support and not to replace them.
It should be emphasised that REAL Steps - Camau Go Iawn does not take a prescriptive approach to wellbeing, but offers real choice to people in terms of their recovery journey.
For the purposes of this report, the word "learning" is used to describe a process of active engagement with experience. It may involve the development or deepening of skills, knowledge, understanding, values, ideas and feelings. "Learning" does not necessarily mean formal study or learning.
